Role Overview:
We are seeking a capable and experienced Accountant to join our team. This is a great chance for an enthusiastic individual who wants to play a key role in a dynamic and growing company. As an Accountant, you will independently handle a client portfolio, working with a good amount of freedom.
Role Objective
- Oversee the accounting operations for a diverse range of clients.
- Ensure precision, adhere to standard accounting practices and internal quality standards, and meet all deadlines efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Operations Management: Oversee and perform daily accounting tasks, including bank account reconciliation, VAT return preparation, and reconciliations for control accounts like VAT, PAYE, and NIC.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and examine budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis, and offer insights to improve financial results. Responsible for month-end closing and preparing management accounts.
- Client Communication: Engage with clients via emails and virtual meetings using platforms like Teams or Zoom.
- Team Guidance: Provide guidance to junior team members regarding accounting practices and treatments.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture client relationships, ensuring their expectations and needs are effectively met.
Candidate Profile
- An individual with 3-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in industry, outsource accounting firm or an Indian firm.
- Attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good team player, experience in managing a small team
- Proficient in Excel.
- Solid understanding of double-entry, bookkeeping and accounting principles, trial balance and accounting treatment of common transactions
- Experience closing the accounting month and working within deadlines
- Familiarity with any accounting software
